Classification:Igneous Rock

A rare igneous rocks, mainly composed of nepheline and pyroxene, feldspar rocks belong to the class.

Ijolite belongs to a class of plutonite feldspathoid, as a kind of alkaline rocks do not contain feldspar. Is mainly composed of nepheline and aegirine or aegirine augite, Ti pyroxene, sometimes black garnet and biotite. The content of dark mineral is 35%~70%. Ijolite also covered with small clumps of urtite. The typical dark mineral content of Ijolite is 50%.


It is often a transition to urtite, on the one hand to Xia Ni Na eclogite transition.
